We price using Microsoft Word Count found in Tools Menu. We count the number of characters, divide by 65 (characters per line) and multiply by our rates per line. It helps us maintain a standard size of each line which is based on 65 characters. Whereas, other companies who charge on flat per line rates even charge for those lines which have only a couple of words.
